Autumn Roots- Grounding with props.

We're a week past the autumn equinox and how the weather has shifted! From warm sunshine to lots of rain and grey!

Seasons shifting can leave us feeling a little uncomfortable and unsettled, so this months theme is all about grounding. We'll be using props as a way of helping us find softer moments in our practice, as well as using them to help us create some strength!

Now we know not everyone will have access to bolsters/blocks and straps, so look below for our handy guide to using household items as props!

Don't have blocks?

For a firmer replacement, use thicker books, (preferably not too many stacked as this can be a little unstable.) A folded up blanket can also be really useful!

Don't have a strap?

Straps are pretty easy to replace! Use a dressing gown cord, a scarf, or even a rolled up towel.

Don't have a bolster?

Pillow are great replacements for bolsters, (we usually use two!) and a rolled up towel works well if it's rolled width ways!

A reminder that Antonia and I are away in Ibiza from 21st-27th October, but we'll be posting up some classes from Ibiza!
